From the Coast to the Summit with the Country’s Best Hosts
Three hundred of Australia’s leading hosts gathered for the 2025 Airbnb Summit in Sydney this week and somehow our little regional team made it to the table. It was a full day of insights from Airbnb’s global leaders, trend spotting, idea trading and connecting with brilliant people who love great guest experiences as much as we do.
The energy in the room was extraordinary. Big thinkers, creative operators and some of the country’s best hosts came together to talk about where travel is heading and what guests genuinely value in 2025. From changing traveller habits to the rise of meaningful stays, the message was clear. Guests remember how a place makes them feel, not just how it looks.
Then came a moment we’ll be holding close for a long while. When average guest ratings were revealed across the group, our score was among the highest in the room. A small regional team from the Northern Rivers sitting shoulder to shoulder with national heavy hitters and quietly shining. It was one of those rare pause-and-smile reminders that consistency, care and invisible service still matter in a world full of noise.
For Oceanstays and Pilot Hill, the summit reinforced what we already believe. Being the best property manager or the best host isn’t about having the most homes or the flashiest features. It’s about thoughtful details, generous service and a guest experience that feels personal. The kind where you won’t see us, but you’ll feel us.
We walked out of the summit energised, inspired and quietly proud of the work happening behind the scenes every day. The early starts, the late messages, the attention to detail and the care behind every stay. It all adds up to something special.
Here’s to more learning, more sharing and more moments that lift the standard for our region and beyond.
